Ali Abdelaziz gives Dan Hooker no chance to beat Arman Tsarukyan.
Hooker (24-12 MMA, 14-8 UFC) takes on top lightweight contender Tsarukyan (22-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 265 main event on Nov. 22 at ABHA Arena in Doha, Qatar (ESPN+).
Abdelaziz let his feelings known about Hooker, who is a big underdog against Tsarukyan. He thinks the odds are an accurate reflection of what’s going to happen.
“I think Arman’s going to beat the sh*t out of Dan Hooker,” Abdelaziz told Submission Radio. “I don’t have anything against the guy, but I just think there are levels to this game, and Arman is on a completely different level. I don’t respect Dan Hooker because he lied about Islam and the IV sh*t, and I don’t think he should have did that.
“But I don’t have anything against him. Do I respect him as a man? No. When he fought Islam, Islam smashed him. I get it, he has to ride with his team and stuff, but he’s a liar. …He has nothing to lose really, but I think Arman is just going to torture him.”
Abdelaziz-managed Islam Makhachev quickly submitted Hooker in their lightweight bout at UFC 267. Tsarukyan lost to Makhachev in his UFC debut, and the pair were scheduled to rematch for the lightweight title at UFC 311, before Tsarukyan withdrew a day before.
