Levi Rodrigues got a contract offer from Dana White – and a “thank you.”
After several minutes of being pushed against the fence, Rodrigues (6-0) knocked out Freddy Vidal (4-1) with a knee and punches 3:20 into their Dana White’s Contender Series 86 bout.
After the win, Rodrigues thanked White through the cage. White responded, “All right, thank you. He was stinking up the place. Thank you. Yeah, you saved us.”
Vidal, 31, an elementary school teacher got a finish five weeks ago on DWCS in fight he took on five days’ notice. White did not sign him due to lack of excitement and said he was seeing more of the same prior to the finish.
Rodrigues, 28, has six TKOs/knockouts in as many professional fights. He trains with the likes of Jean Matsumoto and Ariane Carnelossi at Inside Muay Thai in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
