UFC 322: Serhiy Sidey out of matchup vs. Malcolm Wellmaker

UFC 322 has lost a bantamweight matchup.

Serhiy Sidey will no longer compete against undefeated Malcolm Wellmaker at the November pay-per-view event at Madison Square Garden in New York. MMA Junkie confirmed with multiple sources that a shoulder injury has forced him out of the scheduled bout. The promotion is currently seeking a replacement for Wellmaker (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC).

Sidey (12-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) will have to wait a little longer for a chance to push his winning streak to three. The 29-year-old Canadian was set to compete for the second time in 2025. His first appearance of the year was a unanimous decision win over Cameron Smotherman.

Wellmaker has quickly turned heads in the UFC following an impressive showing on Dana White’s Contender Series last August. He has made two appearances in 2025, winning both with bonus-earning first-round stoppages.

With the change, the current UFC 322 lineup includes:

  • Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev – for welterweight title
  • Valentina Shevchenko vs. Zhang Weili – for women’s flyweight title
  • Leon Edwards vs. Carlos Prates
  • Beneil Dariush vs. Benoit Saint Denis
  • Erin Blanchfield vs. Tracy Cortez
  • Bo Nickal vs. Rodolfo Vieira
  • Roman Kopylov vs. Gregory Rodrigues
  • Eric McConico vs. Baisangur Susurkaev
  • Kyle Daukaus vs. Gerald Meerschaert
  • Fatima Kline vs. Angela Hill
  • Malcolm Wellmaker vs. opponent TBA
