Dave Feldman: Mike Perry vs. Jeremy Stephens at BKFC 82 will prove pay-per-view not dead

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Dave Feldman has no doubt Mike Perry vs. Jeremy Stephens will deliver on the numbers.

Perry defends his “King of Violence” title against Stephens on Oct. 4 from Prudential Center in New Jersey. The pair were involved in a heated face off during Friday’s BKFC 80 event at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where they almost came to blows.

With the UFC ditching the pay-per-view model in their new Paramount deal in 2026, BKFC boss Feldman believes there’s still value in selling fights.

“Timing is everything, with a lot of people talking about the pay-per-view is dead. I don’t think it’s dead,” Feldman told MMA Junkie and other reporters. “I think you have to put on a spectacle of an event to get people to want to pay to watch you, and I think this event on Oct. 4 is that and more.

“You just saw tonight with these two animals I have – Mike Perry and Jeremy Stephens couldn’t contain themselves already. They can’t wait to knock each other out, they can’t wait to hurt each other, they can’t wait to create violence on each other, and Oct. 4 it’s going to happen.”

Perry is widely considered the face of BKFC, and longtime UFC veteran Stephens is coming into the matchup with a chip on his shoulder.

“I’m very excited about it,” Feldman said of Perry vs. Stephens. “A lot of people said Jeremy Stephens is too small. Jeremy Stephens stepped up and broke Eddie Alvarez’s face in the last fight. I think he broke his jaw, and prior to that, Mike Perry also broke a facial bone on Eddie Alvarez.

“So they have two things in common, and Eddie Alvarez is a bad dude. That’s not easy to happen. You’ve got these two warriors that really don’t know how to back up. Neither of these guys know how to back up, and I think it’s going to be one of the best fights that you’ve ever seen come Oct. 4.”
