The UFC is giving the massive boxing fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford its typical pay-per-view experience, as it brings the popular “Embedded” video series to document what’s happening behind the scenes during fight week.
Canelo vs. Crawford (Netflix) takes place Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
In the headliner, WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF super middleweight champion Alvarez (63-2) takes on the undefeated super welterweight Crawford (41-0), who moves up two weight classes for this blockbuster superfight at 168 pounds. In addition, undefeated rising stars Callum Walsh (14-0) and Fernando Vargas (17-0) clash in the co-feature, while Christian Mbilli (29-0) takes on Lester Martinez (19-0) for the interim WBC super middleweight title.
The fifth episode of “Embedded” follows the headliners and featured fighters while they get ready for fight week. Here is the UFC’s description of the episode from YouTube:
Callum Walsh eats lunch in his hotel room; Jermaine Franklin Jr. unwinds by playing video games; Travis Kent Crawford hits pads with his coach; Terence Crawford has a sit down interview with Stephen A. Smith; Athletes from the undercard go on stage for their pre-fight press conference; Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford exchange words in their pre-fight press conference.
