Jean Silva hit a milestone in his fighting career, and he couldn’t hold back his tears.

The rising UFC featherweight contender headlines his first UFC event Saturday at UFC Fight Night 259 when he takes on fellow Brazilian Diego Lopes at the top billing of this year’s Noche UFC – which takes place at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

As tradition, the main event fighters are featured on the official poster promoting the event. The athletes sign many of those posters as part of their fight week obligations, and when he saw his face with top billing, that’s when reality sunk in for Silva.

“Look where I am. It’s me, bro,” Silva said in reaction to seeing his image front and center of the Noche UFC poster.

You can watch Silva’s emotional reaction in the video below:

Silva (16-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC), regarded as one of the biggest prospects at featherweight, looks to stay undefeated in the octagon in this upcoming fight against Lopes (26-7 MMA, 5-2 UFC). Silva has five wins in the UFC and, with four of those coming by knockout and one by submission. He last fought in April when he violently submitted veteran Bryce Mitchell.
