Gabriel Bonfim will face Randy Brown at UFC’s upcoming Fight Night card in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Oct. 11, MMA Fighting has confirmed following a report from MMA Latinoamerica.
UFC Rio will be headlined by a lightweight showdown between former champion Charles Oliveira and Rafael Fiziev.
Bonfim (18-1) was victorious in five of six since joining the UFC, winning his first one inside the same Rio de Janeiro venue in 2023, a guillotine choke over Mounir Lazzez.
“Marretinha” is currently riding a three-fight winning streak in the promotion, a run that includes a bonus-winning submission over Khaos Williams and a close decision against Stephen Thompson this past July.
Brown (20-6) knocked out Nicolas Dalby in his most recent appearance, winning four of his past five. He pocketed $50,000 performance bonuses with his knockouts over Dalby and Muslim Salikhov.
“Rudeboy” fought once in Brazil, choking out TUF Brazil winner Warlley Alves in November 2019.
