Blues Sign Defenseman To Two-Year Extension

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Blues signed defenseman Tyler Tucker to a two-year contract extension worth $1.85 million ($900,000 in 2025-26, $950,000 in 2026-27), a $925,000 average annual value.

The 24-year-old, originally drafted by the Blues in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL Draft, could have become a Group 6 unrestricted free agent at the end of the season had he not played in 80 games by the end of the season.

Tucker, who’s played in 72 games in three seasons, but gets a pay bump from the two-year, $1.6 million ($800,000 AAV) he signed on June 30, 2023.

This season, the defenseman has put up four points (two goals, two assists) and had 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 19 games with Springfield of the American Hockey League.

The Thunder Bay, Ontario, native has 10 points (four goals, six assists) in his NHL career with the Blues and proved this season he can be relied on as a steady depth defenseman.
