Max Jowitt has signed a new two-year deal with Wakefield Trinity, with the option of extending for another 12 months.

The 27-year-old full-back enjoyed a superb 2024 season, becoming the first player in rugby league history to score 500 points in a single campaign.

After signing the contract extension with his hometown club, Jowitt was tipped by Wakefield coach Daryl Powell to potentially make a breakthrough at international level.

Powell told the club website: “He has grown into a high quality full-back in all areas of the game. His best years are ahead of him and I believe he will grow further and challenge as an international full-back in the future.”

Since making his debut for Trinity in 2014, Jowitt has made more than 150 appearances for the club.

“I’m a Wakefield lad so being able to secure the next couple years of my future at my hometown club is pretty special,” he said.
