Yorkshire have signed New Zealand fast bowler Will O’Rourke for the first eight matches of the 2025 T20 Blast.
The 23-year-old has taken 36 wickets in 10 Tests for the Black Caps, including the best-ever match figures for a New Zealand Test debutant of 9-93 against South Africa.
“I spoke with Kane [Williamson] about the prospect of signing for Yorkshire and he was effusive in his praise for the club and the supporters,” the right-armer told the club website.
“Everyone around the world knows of Yorkshire CCC and I’ll be proud to wear the white rose when I arrive.”
O’Rourke, who was born in England but moved to his parents’ native New Zealand when he was five, is the second player to sign for Yorkshire for the group stages of the T20 Blast this week following all-rounder Will Sutherland.
