The titleholders who are set to compete at UFC 311 will be rocking some custom fight shorts.
UFC 311 takes place Saturday at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. and is headlined by a lightweight title fight between champion Islam Makhachev and challenger Arman Tsarukyan. The co-main event features bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili against Umar Nurmagomedov.
Tuesday, the promotion revealed custom shorts for the two champions.
Makhachev (26-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) will sport a fairly minimalist design against (22-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC). A pattern of mountains on the lower-half of the shorts is a nod to his native region of Dagestan, Russia.
One fight earlier on the card, Dvalishvili (18-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) gets a theme that pays respect to his native country of Georgia. With a flag-like pattern and some Georgian writing on the leg, there will be no question what country Dvalishvili is representing against Russia’s Nurmagomedov (18-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC).
