The UFC’s in-cage product got off to a strong start in 2025 on Saturday, with UFC Fight Night 249 seeing nine of 14 fights end inside the distance, including a number of brutal knockouts.
It was submission that led the way in the main event, however, with Mackenzie Dern (15-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) putting on one of her career-best performances en route to a third-round submission finish of Amanda Ribas (12-6 MMA, 7-5 UFC) in their strawweight main event rematch at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
