Sabres Hit New Low In Brutal Kraken Loss

After winning back-to-back games, the Buffalo Sabres looked to stay hot against the Seattle Kraken on Saturday. They started their matchup against Seattle on the right foot, as they had a 2-0 lead after the first period.

However, the Sabres not only blew their first-period lead but did so brutally. They allowed six unanswered goals in the following two periods and lost by a 6-2 final score. This included four goals during the third period, one of which was an empty-netter.

It is not very common for an NHL team to allow six unanswered goals, so this loss will undoubtedly haunt the Sabres. This is especially true given that they were in such a good spot after the first period.

With this embarrassing loss, the Sabres now have a 16-22-5 record and remain at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
