Notable UFC lightweights collide this March.

Alexander Hernandez vs. Kurt Holobaugh is the newest edition to UFC Fight Night 254, a March 15 event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Hernandez (15-8 MMA, 7-7 UFC) snapped a two-fight skid in October when he defeated Austin Hubbard by split decision. A former Factory X staple, Hernandez now trains at UFC Gym Lone Tree in Lone Tree, Colo.

Holobaugh (21-8 MMA, 2-5 UFC) returned to the UFC in 2023 through “The Ultimate Fighter 31.” Holobaugh slickly submitted Hubbard in the lightweight final but lost his next bout vs. Trey Ogden. In July, he returned to defeat Kaynan Kruschewsky.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night 254 lineup includes:

  • Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Ryan Spann

  • Daniel Barez vs. Andre Lima

  • Yuneisy Duben vs. Carli Judice

  • Sam Hughes vs. Stephanie Luciano

  • Diyar Nurgozhay vs. Brendson Ribeiro

  • Da’Mon Blackshear vs. Cody Gibson

  • Alexander Hernandez vs. Kurt Holobaugh
