The UFC is back in the Middle East for UFC 321, its 11th pay-per-view of the calendar year, and the popular “Embedded” fight week video series is here to document what’s happening behind the scenes.
UFC 321 (Pay-per-view, Disney+, ESPN+) takes place Saturday at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
In the headliner, heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) puts his title on the line against challenger Ciryl Gane (13-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC). In the co-feature, Virna Jandiroba (22-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) meets Mackenzie Dern (15-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) for the vacant women’s strawweight title.
The second episode of “Embedded” follows the featured fighters while they get ready for fight week. Here is the UFC’s description of the episode from YouTube:
Ciryl Gane enjoys the heavyweight life with a fancy team meal; Umar Nurmagomedov works on cardio and grappling; Mackenzie Dern gets her nails done before jiu jitsu practice; Jailton Almeida dresses like a sheikh; Virna Jandiroba hones her striking skills; Champ Tom Aspinall hits pads at the host hotel.
