No. 5-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight contender Maycee Barber is set to return. “The Future” has been booked to face Brazil’s Karine Silva at UFC 323 on Dec. 6, 2025, the promotion’s final pay-per-view (PPV) of the year, inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The matchup was revealed by Silva’s gym, “Fighting Nerds,” on Instagram.
Now, seven months later, she’s cleared and ready to continue her six-fight win streak — but instead of moving up the ladder, she’s taking a fight against an opponent ranked below her.
For Barber, this fight might be less about rankings and more about redemption. After her near-nightmare in May, she gets a shot at putting the bad memory behind her — and reminding everyone why she’s still one of the most dangerous young contenders at 125 pounds.
That opponent is Silva (19-5), who bounced back from her first Octagon defeat with a revenge win over Dione Barbosa at UFC 319 last month. The 31-year-old Brazilian is now 5-1 inside the promotion, with her lone loss coming by unanimous decision to Viviane Araujo at UFC 309. A victory over Barber would likely rocket her into the division’s Top 5.
As for UFC 323, no headliner has been announced just yet, but the card is already shaping up with Marvin Vettori vs. Brunno Ferreira and Brandon Moreno vs. Tatsuro Taira joining Barber vs. Silva.
