Wakefield Trinity outside back Jayden Myers has signed a new five-year contract.

Myers, 22, joined Wakefield a year earlier than expected, from Bradford after Trinity paid a fee to bring the deal forward in December 2024.

“Jayden has applied himself in an outstanding way,” head coach Daryl Powell told the club website.

“We are confident he will be a consistent Super League player and I look forward to seeing how he develops in the next few years.”

Director of rugby Ste Mills said securing Myers’ future had been a long-term priority for Trinity.

“Everyone at the club can see how much progress he has made in the seven months since joining us,” added Mills.

“He’s a young, powerful outside back who gives us strength on the wings and in the centres.

“This piece of business will be seen as a crucial signing in a couple of years.”

Powell and assistant Michael Shenton extended their contracts with the club until the end of the 2029 season last week, with Mills appointed director of rugby until 2031.

Wakefield host Huddersfield on Saturday in round 24.
