UFC Fight Night 260 in Perth adds Neil Magny vs. Jake Matthews, two other Aussie bouts

The UFC’s upcoming trip to Perth continues to take shape with the official addition of multiple fights, including a welterweight clash between Neil Magny and Jake Matthews.

UFC Fight Night 260 takes place Sept. 27 at RAC Arena, and is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Dominick Reyes and Carlos Ulberg. Monday, the promotion announced three new bouts for the card.

Magny (30-13 MMA, 23-12 UFC), whose name is all over the UFC’s welterweight record books, will step into his second fight of 2025 following a second-round finish of Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in August to return to the win column. The 38-year-old veteran is the wins leader in the UFC’s welterweight division, as well as having the most fights, decision wins, total fight time, total strikes, and significant strikes in 170-pound history.

Matthews (22-7 MMA, 15-7 UFC), who is riding a three-fight winning streak, is also coming off a highlight finish. In July, Matthews tapped Chidi Njokuani in just 69 seconds with a neck crank. A winner of four of his last five, Australia’s Matthews gets to fight on home soil as he eyes an entry into the UFC’s top 15.

The promotion also announced two other fights featuring Australian fighters.

England’s Oban Elliott (12-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) takes on Australia’s Jonathan Micallef (8-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at welterweight, and Australia’s Jack Jenkins (13-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) faces American Ramon Taveras (10-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in a featherweight bout.
