On Mar. 6, HC Bruce Cassidy provided injury updates on Lavoie, Cole Schwindt, and William Karlsson. Cassidy said that Lavoie was day-to-day with an upper-body injury, Schwindt was a game-time decision and played on Friday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Karlsson would be out but was not ruled out beyond that, and they were unsure if he’d be available for the trip.

Unfortunately for Lavoie, the day-to-day status worsened and has been placed on the IR, retroactive to Mar. 5, when he sustained the injury against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Victor Olofsson also suffered an injury against the Maple Leafs and missed both the practice before and the game against the Penguins. He was labelled day-to-day and is a game-time decision against the Los Angeles Kings. If he can play tonight, he’ll enter the lineup in place of Cole Schwindt.
