The NHL continues to expand the game globally. On Wednesday, it announced a new engaging animated series featuring several teams, including the Calgary Flames.
On Apr. 13, fans who tune into the Flames and San Jose Sharks game will experience Harvey’s Mountain Classic, a collaboration between the organization, the league, and Sportsnet.
According to the NHL’s news release, Harvey the Hound, the Flames’ mascot will travel to the Rocky Mountains and play in an outdoor game. Moreover, the league promotes the event as the “first real-time, full-length NHL animated data visualization to be carried in Canada.”

The NHL launched NHL HOCKEYVERSE Matchup of the Week in February. It’s a 30-minute program packed with NHL content from the previous week. This weekly program airs on Sportsnet, the NHL Network, and the league’s YouTube channel.
