Minnesota Wild Assign Liam Ohgren To Iowa

The Minnesota Wild have assigned forward Liam Ohgren to the Iowa Wild, it was reported Sunday.

Drafted by the Wild in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Ohgren has spent time with both Minnesota and Iowa this season. In 19 NHL games, Ohgren has collected one goal and four points while putting up 12 goals and 23 points in 25 AHL games.

Since coming over to North America near the end of last season, Ohgren has made an appearance in 23 NHL games for the Wild, scoring two goals and adding four assists.

With Ohgren being assigned to Iowa, it is likely just to get playing time while Minnesota is on their break. Ohgren has continued to establish himself as an important option with his play this season and will only continue to see an increased workload in the future.
