A poor span of 5:49 in the second period where the Seattle Kraken scored four goals on five shots en route to their 6-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks.
After a slow start, the Sharks looked like they found their game, but a bad second period made the game worse.
Chandler Stephenson had a goal and two assists, and Brandon Montour scored twice for the Kraken. Joey Daccord made 26 saves.
Will Smith extended his point streak to sick as he earned an assist on Carl Grundstrom’s goal. Tyler Toffoli also scored for the Sharks. Yaroslav Askarov made seven saves on 11 shots before he was pulled. Alexandar Georgiev stopped 19 shots.
Nikolai Kovalenko left the game in the third period and did not return for an undisclosed reason.
Stephenson gets behind the defense and beats Askarov under the glove and over the pad at 3:55 of the first period.
Grundstrom ties the game at 1-1 after he tried a give-and-go with Will Smith and got a lucky bounce.
Sharks tie it on a rough sequence for the Kraken.

Bjorkstrand put the Kraken up 2-1 at 2:03 of the second period after the puck bounced off Stephenson’s leg right to the forward in front.

Montour scored 51 seconds later after a bad turnover.
After the Sharks had extended zone time on the power play, Schwartz was sprung out of the box for a breakaway to give the Kraken a 4-1 lead. Askarov was pulled after this goal.
Montour scored his second goal on a five-on-three power play with some pretty passing.
Toffoli scored his 18th goal of the season to cut the lead to 5-2.
Eeli Tolvanen snipes a shot over Georgiev’s glove to make it 6-2.
