The Vegas Golden Knights have lost five out of their last six games and are returning home looking to get back into the win column against the St. Louis Blues.
The Golden Knights were in a lighter part of their schedule post-Christmas break and took advantage of teams lower in the standings. Things took a turn for the Golden Knights when they were shut out by the New York Islanders on Jan. 9. Since that loss, the Golden Knights’ offence has been silenced and their defence has been shaky. They had a great opportunity to fix their game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday but were stunned, losing 5-3.

Returning to T-Mobile Arena should help the Golden Knights. They are 18-6-0 at home and take on a Blues team that is 11-11-3 on the road. The Blues have had an odd season, they traded for Cam Fowler in hopes of bolstering their blue line but are still three points out of the playoff spot and are 5-5-0 in their last 10 games.

Adin Hill and Jordan Binnington will be teammates on Team Canada during the 4 Nations Face-Off but will be enemies tonight with each netminder starting in goal.

Chandler Stephenson scored his seventh goal of the season on Saturday in a 4-2 Seattle Kraken win over the Los Angeles Kings. He’s up to 31 points on the season but his overall play at 5-on-5 has been poor.
Michael Amadio and the Ottawa Senators picked up one-goal wins over the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils over the weekend, igniting their push for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Logan Thompson picked up his 21st win of the season, improving to 21-2-3 in his Washington Capitals career. The Capitals have sole possession of first place in the NHL and Thompson’s stunning play is a major factor in their success.
