The Buffalo Sabres suffered a brutal loss to the Seattle Kraken on Saturday. After ending the first period with a 2-0 lead, the Sabres allowed six unanswered goals to the Kraken and lost by a final score of 6-2.

The Sabres completely threw this game away because of their sloppy play, and head coach Lindy Ruff expressed evident frustration to reporters following the game.
“I thought the second period, embarrassing the way we played,” Ruff said. “We had O-zone time, didn’t get to the inside, didn’t get pucks to the net, passed the puck around the perimeter, look for the pretty play, and eventually it caught up to us. Unacceptable. Just embarrassing, actually.”
It is hard to disagree with Ruff’s comments about the Sabres’ play. They struggled mightily as the contest rolled on, and they suffered another terrible loss in the process. They also still remain at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
We will need to wait and see if the Sabres can turn things around against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday from here.
