This will be the second game in a row that Malenstyn will not play for the Sabres. With the 26-year-old forward being a solid part of the Sabres’ bottom six, they will need to adjust with him remaining absent.

Malenstyn, 26, was acquired this past off-season by the Sabres from the Washington Capitals. In 40 games this season with the Sabres, he has four goals, eight points, 36 blocks, 96 hits, and a minus-4 rating.
