The VICE documentary series “Dark Side of the Cage” premiered Wednesday with an episode diving into the life of Kimbo Slice, and you can watch it right here.
The new series, which follows in the same vein as “Dark Side of the Ring” covering professional wrestling, promises to “cut through the glamour and glory of the MMA spectacle to reveal the never-before-told stories behind its most iconic competitors and delves into the controversial and infamous events along the path to the sport’s dominance.”
In the first of nine episodes, “Dark Side of the Cage” dives into the life and career of Slice as it covers his upbringing, how he made his name as a backyard brawler, and his journey into MMA, including the UFC. It features interview clips from members of his family (mother Rosemary Clarke, sister Renea Ferguson and son Kevin Ferguson Jr.), his longtime manager Mike Imber, and more.
You can watch the full episode in the video above.
A new episode of “Dark Side of the Cage” will air every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on VICE TV.
