Baseball Hall of Fame’s Contemporary Era committee
Will soon be meeting to consider candidates for Cooperstown. The committee votes get less attention than the main voting, but there’s plenty there to interest the baseball devotee: old favorites finally getting their due, interesting edge cases to bicker and banter over.
This year’s ballot includes Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Carlos Delgado, Jeff Kent, Don Mattingly, and Gary Sheffield, as well as former Phillies Dale Murphy and Fernando Valenzuela.
So, imagine that you’re on the committee.
