While UFC Fight Night 263 was a low-key card, it still managed to produce moves in a few divisions for this week’s update.
Starting with the main event, Steve Garcia turned in a dominant performance against David Onama. The statement-making stoppage was strong enough to warrant upward movement against an unranked opponent. Garcia came into the week at No. 12 and now climbs two spots to enter the top 10 of the featherweight division.
The co-feature, as chaotic as it was, also caused movement in the heavyweight division. Although Ante Delija thought he had a win in the bag, an eye poke caused a restart of the fight. Waldo Cortes-Acosta pulled off a stoppage just seconds later to completely flip the script. Cortes-Acosta came in at No. 8, and now climbs one spot.
