'Road House 2' cast filled with UFC stars – including two Conor McGregor rivals

UFC stars will align for the filming of “Road House 2” – but it doesn’t seem Conor McGregor will be one of them.

Two of his rivals will be, however, as Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler have been cast, along with other combat sports notables Rico Verhoeven, Michael Page, Tyron Woodley, Stephen Thompson, and Jay Hieron. That’s according to a report Tuesday from Deadline.

The Amazon MGM Studios film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays a bouncer-turned-MMA fighter. Leila George, Aldis Hodge, and David Bautista have also been cast in the Ilya Naishuller-directed movie.

“Road House” rebooted in 2024, with the McGregor-starred remake, and pulled a reported 50 million worldwide viewers in its first two weekends.

Few other details have been released about the film and it’s unclear if the release date is targeted for 2026 or 2027.
