A roundup of Southwest Florida high school events for the week of Nov. 3-8, 2025.
MONDAY
Boys Golf
Class 1A-Region 3 tournament: Community School’s Spencer Ives shot a 1-over 71 to tie for second place and earn an automatic berth into the state championship tournament.
St. John Neumann’s Grant Noren shot a 2-over 72 to place seventh overall. CSN’s Luca Musico tied for 11th with a 74, while Bishop Verot’s Adrian Banham, Caden Kellum, and Village School’s Blake Pecro all tied for 15th with a 75.
Bishop Verot was the top local team finisher, placing third with a total score of 305, five strokes behind region champion St. Stephen’s Episcopal. Community School and St. John Neumann (310) tied for sixth place, while Village School (320) was 10th. The tournament was held at Cove Cay Country Club in Clearwater.
Girls Golf
Class 3A-Region 3 tournament: Ida Baker, the lone local school to have a team qualify, finished 12th at the event, held at the Heritage Harbor Golf & Country Club in Lutz. Parrish captured the team championship, outlasting George Steinbrenner by nine strokes.
Palmetto Ridge junior Chloe Walsh was the top local finisher, shooting 102 to tie for 52nd place.
Girls Golf
North Fort Myers 9, Lehigh 0: Hannah Busenbark had 3 goals and 2 assists, Laila Bathey scored 2 goals and 2 assists and Angelina Toro a goal and an assist. Scoring their first high school points were Eliana Toro (2 goals 3 assists), Kaitlyn Heuglin (goal) and Rosalyn Lopez (2 assists).
