LAS VEGAS – Alice Ardelean met the media Saturday after her win over Montserrat Conejo Ruiz at UFC Fight Night 263.

Ardelean (11-7 MMA, 2-2 UFC) outworked Ruiz (10-5 MMA, 1-4 UFC) for a unanimous decision on the prelims at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The Romanian, based in Florida, won for the second straight time after back-to-back losses to open her UFC career in 2024.

But she did, however, suggest she needs to worry about taking a few less punches next time.

“I feel amazing. It’s what I want it to be. I love fighting. All my fights are like that,” Ardelean said at her post-fight news conference. “I just like to get into a scrap. I took some. I gave some. I think I need to work on moving my head more, because I took so many punches.

I need to be more worried about it, but I’m not. One day, somebody will knock me out – somebody will. I need to move my head more. But other than that, I’m very pleased with my performance. … The outcome, every bit of work we put in, it showed tonight.”
