Teenage batter Jaydn Denly has signed a new three-year contract with Kent.
Denly has played 31 first-class and List A matches for Kent since graduating from the club’s academy in 2023.
He follows his uncle Joe Denly in extending his contract at Canterbury, after the former England opener signed on for his 20th season last week.
“Kent is my club and I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of breaking into the first team here,” the 19-year-old said.
“It’s now time for me to push on, continuing my development with the coaches here, and hopefully make some big contributions next summer and beyond.”
Denly has scored 398 runs in 10 first-class matches at an average of 26.53, as well as hitting 555 runs in 21 List A games at an average of 29.21.
Also a capable left-arm spinner, he has claimed 22 wickets across both formats.
Kent finished bottom of County Championship Division Two last season, winning just two of their 14 matches, following relegation from Division One the previous summer.
