Lancashire Women’s head coach Chris Read has signed a new two-year deal to keep him at Emirates Old Trafford until the end of the 2027 season.
The 47-year-old former England international has been rewarded for his part in a stellar 2025 campaign in which his side lifted two trophies.
Lancashire won the Vitality T20 County Cup in May beating The Blaze and Surrey on Finals Day, and the One-Day Cup in September with a win over Hampshire in the final.
Read, a former Nottinghamshire captain, said he believed the squad could make further progress over the course of his new deal.
“This group of players have shown incredible progress over the last two years. The development we’ve made together, both on and off the field, has been really pleasing,” he told the club website.
“I’m excited about what we can continue to achieve over the next two years. There’s a huge amount of talent coming through the system, and the ambition within this squad and the wider club is relentless.”
