The Los Angeles Rams expect wide receiver Puka Nacua to return on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints from a sprained ankle.
Head coach Sean McVay announced Monday that Nacua and offensive tackle Rob Havenstein (ankle) are both expected to practice Wednesday with the expectation that they’ll also suit up on Sunday against the Saints. The news is a boost for the Rams as they’re expected to get back their top playmaker on offense.

Nacua sustained his injury in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. He returned to the game after initially being diagnosed with a foot injury. But he was ruled out for Los Angeles’ subsequent game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7 with a sprained ankle.
When healthy, Nacua has been one of the league’s top receivers since his breakout rookie campaign in 2023 produced 105 catches for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns. He entered Week 6 against the Ravens leading the NFL in catches (52) and receiving yards (588) along with three touchdowns through five games.
The Rams added six-time Pro Bowler Davante Adams in the offseason, giving them one of the NFL’s most dynamic receiving tandems. They thrived even without Nacua in a 35-7 win over the Jaguars in Week 7 as Matthew Stafford threw five touchdowns, three of them to Adams. Adams has 31 catches for 431 yards and six touchdowns through seven games.
The Rams come out of a Week 8 bye at 5-2 and tied with the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West.
