Should the UFC run back Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane?
MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn takes a look at what should happen next after the no-contest finish to the UFC 321 main event.
Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane ended in disappointment at UFC 321, but it did come with some upside.
After Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) had his vision impaired by an illegal eye poke from Gane (13-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in the first round of Saturday’s headliner in Abu Dhabi, the heavyweight title bout was ruled a no contest.
The unfortunate situation seemingly sets up an immediate rematch, which in the grand scheme of things is a more compelling option than anything else available in the weight class currently.
Is Aspinall vs. Gane 2 as obvious as it seems, though? Watch the video above for thoughts and analysis on the UFC 321 result and what’s next for both men.
