It’s Sunday at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship and tonight a champion will be crowned at the Black Desert Resort.
Last year was debut of this tournament and while there’s no longer a Masters invite for the winner anymore, there is still big money and lots of FedEx Cup points to be had.

Through 54 holes, Sam Ryder has climbed from 106 to 96 in the projected FedEx Cup Fall points standings. Remember that only the top 100 at the end of the fall campaign earn 2026 playing status (if not already eligible). He’s the only one for now that has improved his position. On the flip side, Patrick Fishburn is the one whose chances have been damaged. Fishburn was 98th but he missed the cut and he’s now 103rd.
What happened in the third round of the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship?
Michael Brennan is playing the third PGA Tour event of his entire career and he’s the leader by two entering the final round. Brennan got off to a rough start with a double-bogey at the second hole but bounced back with an incredible stretch where he made an eagle and five birdies on holes 7-14. He made birdie on the 18th for good measure.
“I’m obviously very happy with how I finished this round. I played very solid coming in,” Brennan said. “I felt like I maybe was a little frustrated on the third hole still and it’s something I hope to improve upon, trying not to carry it with me. I made a nice birdie on No. 4 and kept things going.”

How much money is on the line at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship?
The total purse in 2025 is $6 million (down from $7.5 from a year ago) and this year’s champ will bank a cool $1.08 million.
Where is the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship played?
Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah, is the host venue for a second year. The golf course was the final design of Tom Weiskopf’s career. The course has only been open for two years but has already rocketed to the top of Golfweek’s Best public-access courses in Utah. The layout has quickly climbed the rankings and is No. 1 in Utah on Golfweek’s Best list of public-access courses, No. 26 among all resort courses in the U.S. and No. 81 among all modern courses in the country.
