Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern are ready to run things back – but this time for the biggest prize. This rematch for the vacant strawweight title is scheduled for five rounds and takes place Saturday, October 25 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Jandiroba (22-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) and Dern (15-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) first encountered each other early in their UFC tenures, with Dern claiming a unanimous decision win in December 2020 at UFC 256.
Since then, Jandiroba has won six of her past seven fights and heads into UFC 321 on a five-fight winning streak having defeated Angela Hill, Marina Rodriguez, Loopy Godinez, Amanda Lemos, and most recently Yan Xiaonan this past April at UFC 315.
Dern’s road to her first UFC title shot hasn’t been nearly as smooth as she’s 4-4 in her past eight octagon appearances. Dern, however, will enter UFC 321 on a two-fight winning streak against Godinez and most recently a submission of Amanda Ribas last January.
Jandiroba and Dern received this title shot after it was announced that Zhang Weili was vacating the 115-pound title to move up a division and challenge Valentina Shevchenko for the women’s flyweight crown at an event to be determined.
Here are the walkout times for the UFC 321 co-main event between Jandiroba and Dern.
