Azamat Murzakanov extended his unbeaten streak to 16 earlier today (Sat., Oct. 25, 2025) at UFC 321 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, putting an impressive stop to light heavyweight contender Aleksandar Rakic with a first-round knockout (punch).
While Murzakanov brought an undefeated 5-0 UFC record into Saturday’s contest some believed the step up in competition would be too much for “The Professional.” After all, Rakic has fought just about everyone at 205 pounds and just went three hard rounds with Magomed Ankalaev his last time out. Fortunately for Murzakanov, he was able to rise to the occasion and turn in the most meaningful win of his career.
Rakic, who had a ridiculous size advantage, did the most damage early on with hard leg kicks and some crisp strikes from the outside. Murzakanov was game, though, as the shorter light heavyweight kept his composure and believed in his power. During an entry inside by Rakic, Murzakanov timed a perfectly-placed short right that hit “Rocket” on the button and sent him crashing to the canvas. Murzakanov followed up with one final shot before the referee stepped in.
