ABU DHABI – Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern hit their marks and made their UFC 321 vacant strawweight title fight at Friday’s official weigh-in.
With Zhang Weili vacating to move up to women’s flyweight, contenders Jandiroba (22-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) and Dern (15-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) will decide a new champion on Saturday at Etihad Arena on Yas Island (ESPN+ pay-per-view, Disney+/FX/ESPN+). It’s a rematch of a December 2020 fight that Dern won by unanimous decision.
It’s a first-time title opportunity for both, and it was a professional scene with Jandiroba tipping the scale at 115 pounds and Dern registering at 115 pounds.
