Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane have a lot on the line heading into Saturday’s UFC 321 main event.
With Jon Jones out of the picture, Aspinall has officially been recognized as the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion, but his reign is already in jeopardy as he faces Gane, a former interim titleholder getting his third crack at proving he is the No. 1 fighter in his division.
The heavyweight headliners faced off following a press conference Thursday in Abu Dhabi and, as usual, they were all business.

Also taking part in on-stage staredowns Thursday were Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern, who battle for a vacant strawweight title in the co-main event. The 115-pound belt is up for grabs with now-former champion Zhang Weili moving up to 125 pounds for a superfight with flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.
The third bout featured in the faceoffs sees Umar Nurmagomedov taking on Mario Bautista for a potential title shot at bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili. Nurmagomedov already had one shot at Dvalishvili, losing a unanimous decision to his rival at UFC 311 in January, while Bautista seeks his first championship opportunity entering Saturday on an eight-fight win streak.
UFC 321 takes place Saturday at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
