Just hours before the official UFC 321 weigh-ins, Eurosport reported that the lightweight matchup between Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady and Matheus Camilo has been canceled. MMAmania.com has confirmed that Al-Selwady was forced to withdraw due to undisclosed medical issues.
The bout was scheduled to take place this Saturday (Oct. 25, 2025) inside Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi. At this time, there’s no word on whether the fight will be rescheduled for a later date.
“It’s written, and I will not question it,” Selwady wrote. “All I know is I was fully prepared, best camp of my career, on weight and ready to go, it couldn’t have gone any better, and Allah didn’t have it planned for me. Inshallah, it will all be cleared soon, do not ask me because I myself don’t know. Maktoub.”
Camilo (9-3), meanwhile, was aiming to bounce back from a submission loss to Gabe Green in his UFC debut earlier this year — a setback that snapped his six-fight win streak on the regional scene. The 24-year-old Brazilian prospect boasts a 64-percent finish rate, with four knockouts and two submissions to his name.
UFC 321 will move forward with 13 fights.
