The UFC is back in the Middle East for UFC 321, its 11th pay-per-view of the calendar year, and the popular “Embedded” fight week video series is here to document what’s happening behind the scenes.
UFC 321 (Pay-per-view, Disney+, ESPN+) takes place Saturday at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
In the headliner, heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) puts his title on the line against challenger Ciryl Gane (13-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC). In the co-feature, Virna Jandiroba (22-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) meets Mackenzie Dern (15-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) for the vacant women’s strawweight title.
The second episode of “Embedded” follows the featured fighters while they get ready for fight week. Here is the UFC’s description of the episode from YouTube:
Heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall goes shopping and tries frozen yogurt for the first time; Virna Jandiroba uses square dancing for training; Mario Bautista trains at the athlete hotel; Athlets for UFC 321 begin their fight week check ins; Hamdy Abdelwahab goes for a drive in a Rolls Royce; Alexander Volkov trains with Dumpling; Mackenzie Dern hits pads with her coach.
