Creating realistic trade offers that lead to a deal being accepted is always challenging. Throughout the season, Justin Boone will be publishing his rest-of-season trade value charts, which you can use as a guide to help make moves and manage your roster.

Below, he highlights some of the players you should be buying or selling this week. The Yahoo Trade Market has recent examples of actual trades for specific players by Yahoo fantasy managers, and you can review those deals here.

Buys

Baker Mayfield, Buccaneers — Despite being an MVP candidate through the early part of the season, Mayfield is coming off a down week against a banged-up Lions’ defense that played over their heads in primetime. Island games always attract more eyeballs and fantasy managers tend to overreact to what they see in those contests. When you factor in the loss of Mike Evans, potentially for the rest of the regular season, it makes Mayfield appear less attractive as a fantasy starter.

Don’t be fooled. The Buccaneers still have plenty of weapons led by star rookie Emeka Egbuka and a schedule with several favorable matchups, including this week’s outing versus the Saints. Mayfield remains a strong mid-range fantasy QB1.

Other QB buys to consider: Brock Purdy, 49ers

Derrick Henry, Ravens — Henry reminded everyone what he’s capable of with 130 scrimmage yards on 25 touches in his last game before Baltimore’s Week 7 bye. It was his second 100-yard effort this season and the first time he topped 60 yards since the opener. A major part of Henry’s struggles have been due to the Ravens’ injuries, which have cost them several key stars on both sides of the ball and forced them into comeback mode more often than not. The good news is that the team is getting healthier after a week off and Lamar Jackson may return for this Sunday’s game against Chicago. Jackson’s presence, combined with one of the easiest rest-of-season schedules among RBs is more than enough reason to try and acquire King Henry. Make sure you act now though, because his stock is certain to rise in the next two weeks with matchups versus the generous defenses of the Bears and Dolphins.

Other RB buys to consider: Breece Hall, Jets (real-life trade candidate)

Rome Odunze, Bears — Fantasy managers seem to be panicking following a pair of quieter stat lines from Odunze since Chicago’s bye week. After posting the third-most fantasy points per game among receivers in the opening month, Odunze was held to just four catches for 63 scoreless yards over the past two weeks.

However, as I explained on Monday’s episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Forecast, people tend to worry too much when receivers post consecutive disappointing weeks. Almost every wideout has low production from time to time and if it were split up in Week 2 and Week 15, you wouldn’t think twice about it. Odunze is still the No. 1 target in Chicago and has an excellent stretch to get back on track versus the Ravens, Bengals and Giants over the next three weeks.

Other WR buys to consider: Tetairoa McMillan, Panthers

George Kittle, 49ers — Waiting five weeks for Kittle to get healthy, only to have him produce zero catches on a measly two targets was about as frustrating as it gets in the fantasy world. After all, Kittle is one of the few elite fantasy tight ends left and he might offer the highest ceiling of anyone at the position when he hits. Unfortunately, he has another tough matchup against the Texans this week, who are allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Regardless, you should be testing the waters to see if the Kittle manager is concerned about all the missed time and the empty box score in his return. This might be your only chance to pry him away in a trade before his schedule softens and he begins dominating again.

Other TE buys to consider: Dalton Kincaid, Bills

Sells

Bo Nix, Broncos — Nix turned in his best fantasy performance of the season in Week 7, with 279 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 48 rushing yards and a pair of scores on the ground. The result was a whopping 40 fantasy points, which made him the QB1 overall on the week. However, it’s worth noting that the Broncos’ offense struggled through most of that game and Nix was shaky until a fourth-quarter eruption.

Nix’s sophomore campaign has been very up and down, failing to inspire confidence in the fantasy managers who drafted him as a top-10 quarterback. His next matchup versus the Cowboys is his easiest of the season on paper, but he also has more challenging dates with the Texans and Chiefs over the next month, as well as a bye in Week 12. So while you might get another solid outing from Nix this week, he isn’t a QB you want leading you into the fantasy playoffs. Take advantage of his big game last week and cash out before his value drops back down.

Other QB sells to consider: Jayden Daniels, Commanders

Ashton Jeanty, Raiders — Jeanty is on bye this week, which might complicate any trade offers, but there’s no denying the time to move on from him is now. The Raiders are one of the league’s worst teams, Geno Smith has underwhelmed, a bad offensive line has been made worse by injuries and we might see some players like Jakobi Meyers traded out of town. A few weeks ago, Jeanty appeared to be getting more involved as a pass-catcher, but he earned just one target in the 31-0 blowout to the Chiefs last week. Looking at the Raiders’ rest-of-season schedule, it’s hard to pinpoint games where Vegas will stay competitive and give Jeanty a chance to shine. He’s basically been reduced to a volume-based low-end RB2 who needs to find the end zone to return fantasy production. You should use his name-value and/or the promise of a post-bye rookie bump to trade him for a top-20 fantasy RB or WR.

Other RB sells to consider: Saquon Barkley, Eagles

Keenan Allen, Chargers — Allen is fresh off his best game of the season with 11 receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets. It’s the fourth game where he’s scored a TD this season, but it’s worth questioning how long this party can go on for. The 33-year-old finds himself in a crowded passing attack with Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and an emerging rookie tight end in Oronde Gadsden II. Running back Omarion Hampton will also return from injured reserve in the second half of the season.

Allen has only been playing on 63% of the snaps this year, which makes him susceptible to more volatility. We often see older players fade down the stretch and it’s worth mentioning that four of Allen’s final six weeks of the fantasy season will be spent facing the stingy pass defenses of the Eagles, Chiefs and Texans, with a bye mixed in there as well. I’d be looking to see if you can package him with someone else to acquire an upgrade who is more likely to finish strong.

Other WR sells to consider: Jaylen Waddle, Dolphins

Zach Ertz, Commanders — Jayden Daniels has played five games this season and Ertz has scored a touchdown in four of them. When Marcus Mariota was under center, Ertz wasn’t able to find the end zone and failed to eclipse 40 yards in either game. With Daniels now expected to miss at least Week 8 with a hamstring injury, there’s no reason to have Ertz in your lineup — especially with the Chiefs boasting the third-hardest challenge for fantasy tight ends. Ertz is the TE11 in fantasy points per game on the season, so he should attract some interest on the trade market as part of a package. There are also plenty of emerging young tight ends to scoop up and start moving forward, so there’s no need to stick with Ertz given Daniels’ injury uncertainty.

Other TE sells to consider: Travis Kelce, Chiefs
