Check out the $50,000 bonus winners at the UFC’s return to Canada in Vancouver.
The UFC handed out four bonuses after Saturday’s card in Canada, including a Fight of the Night that saw the winner take a point deduction.
After UFC Fight Night 262, four fighters picked up an extra $50,000 for their performances at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Check out the winners below.
Performance of the Night: Aori Qileng
Aori Qileng (26-12 MMA, 4-4 UFC) had his fight against Cody Gibson (21-12 MMA, 3-7 UFC) moved from the main card down to the prelims Friday. He responded by taking out Gibson in just 21 seconds with a brilliant knockout, the fastest of his career.
Performance of the Night: Charles Jourdain
Charles Jourdain (17-8-1 MMA, 8-7-1 UFC) was on the prelims against Davey Grant (15-8 MMA, 8-7 UFC) until Friday, when his fight was moved to the main card. His response was a major one with a first-round guillotine choke finish of former bantamweight title challenger Vera.
Fight of the Night: Drew Dober def. Kyle Prepolec
Drew Dober (28-15 MMA, 14-11 UFC) was the biggest favorite on the card against Kyle Prepolec (18-10 MMA, 0-4 UFC). He walked away with a win, but he definitely was worse for the wear. Prepolec checked a kick from Dober that sliced Dober’s shin open and had him wobbly the rest of the way. When Dober landed a low kick, Prepolec was hurt bad enough that the ref took a point. On the restart, Dober went crazy and got Prepolec out of there – no doubt knowing he was still hurt from the low blow.
