VANCOUVER – Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen got a close look one final time before sharing the octagon in the UFC Fight Night 262 headliner at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-ins.
De Ridder (21-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) and Allen (25-7 MMA, 13-4 UFC) made the middleweight limit on the scale earlier in the day, and then faced off once more to set the stage for Saturday’s main event showdown at Rogers Arena (ESPN+).
After winning a split decision over former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC on ABC 9, De Ridder was set to face Anthony Hernandez, who had to pull out due to injury. Stepping in as a replacement is Allen, who defeated Marvin Vettori in at UFC 318.
