UFC Fight Night 262 video: Drew Dober loses point, goes bonkers and finishes fight

Drew Dober knew it was likely one round apiece, so he saw nothing but red once a point was deducted late.

In the UFC Fight Night 262 featured prelim Saturday, Dober (28-15 MMA, 14-11 UFC) finished Kyle Prepolec (18-10 MMA, 0-4 UFC) in a mad flurry of strikes for the TKO stoppage at 1:16 of Round 3. The event took place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The finishing sequence occurred, in part, due to a foul by Dober. After Prepolec recovered from a nasty groin kick, referee John Cooper deducted a point from Dober. Upon the reset, Dober went balls-to-the-wall, bombing punches and knees at the retreating Prepolec. With not much defense from Prepolec, Cooper stopped the fight.

Dober suffered a nasty shin injury during the bout. A large gash in his left lower leg had blood streaming down his leg and appeared to still be bothering him after the decision announcement. Snapping a three-fight skid might be a consolation remedy for Dober, however, who was in need of a victory.

Prepolec moves to 0-2 since rejoining the UFC. His debut was a second-round submission loss to Benoit Saint Denis.
