Aori Qileng KOs 2-1 favorite in just 21 seconds at UFC Vancouver
Aori Qileng may have missed being in the cage over the past year or so, but he didn’t feel like staying long once he came back.
Qileng (26-12 MMA, 4-4 UFC) returned after 13 months on the sidelines on the prelims at UFC Fight Night 262 on Saturday with a stunning 21-second knockout of Cody Gibson (21-12 MMA, 3-7 UFC).
Gibson threw a big right hand in the opening seconds, but Oileng slipped away from it and quickly landed one of his own. The second punch Qileng threw put Gibson on the canvas. Oileng pounced on him and it took only a few more punches for ref intervention.
It’s been an inconsistent up-and-down run in the UFC for the Mongolian fighter, but the win over Gibson came against a 2-1 betting favorite, and it was by far the quickest win of Qileng’s career.
