“RDR” has some cuttin’ to do.
That’s because surging Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight title contender Reinier de Ridder arrived at UFC Vancouver fight week a staggering 34 pounds over the division’s 186-pound limit (for non-title fights).
Earlier today (Weds., Oct. 15, 2025), “The Dutch Knight” shared an Instagram Story showing himself stepping onto a massive scale reading 110 kg or 220 pounds — just three days before official weigh-ins take place on Friday morning.
Cutting 34 pounds in three days sounds brutal, but de Ridder has never missed weight in his career, so confidence remains high. Still, fans weren’t entirely convinced by his scale reveal.
Some skeptical fans weren’t buying RDR’s heavy weight.
“Bro is wearing / holding like 20 lbs lol.”
“Probably 210 without the boots, clothes, and water in hand.”
“Bro thinks he’s Paddy.”
“Those Timbs are like 10 lbs alone lmao.”
“220 lbs with all that on means he’s on weight.”
“Obviously he is wearing stuff around 20 lbs — just the bottle of water in his hand is 3.5 lbs.”
“Four weight cuts in one year is gonna be his downfall.”
Whether de Ridder is trolling or simply documenting another massive weight drop, the undefeated 2025 run continues to keep fans talking.
De Ridder headlines this weekend (Sat., Oct. 19, 2025) inside Rogers Arena against No. 9-ranked Brendan Allen, a dangerous submission specialist looking to derail his title run.
