An exciting lightweight matchup has been added to UFC 323.
The final UFC pay-per-view of the year takes place Dec. 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and is filling in following the announcement of two title fights atop the card. Grant Dawson will return to action to face Manuel Torres in a fun fight at 155 pounds. MMA Junkie confirmed the matchup with two sources following a first report by Europsport NL.
Dawson (23-2-1 MMA, 11-1-1 UFC), the promotionally-ranked No. 14 lightweight, will look to defend his position in his second appearance of the year. In January at UFC 311, the 31-year-old extended his winning streak to three with a unanimous decision win over Diego Ferreira.
Mexico’s Torres (16-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will look to make it back-to-back wins and enter the top 15. In March, the 30-year-old returned to the win column with a bonus-earning first-round finish of Drew Dober. In fact, Torres has earned bonuses for all four of his UFC victories, each coming by opening-round stoppage.
With the addition, the current UFC 323 lineup includes:
