Noche UFC video: San Antonio's finishes, including a 'Fight of Year' contender

UFC Fight Night 259 on Saturday was the promotion’s annual tribute to Mexican Heritage Month, and the Mexican fighters in San Antonio were perfect on the night.

There were some stellar finishes, but perhaps none was as good as in the main event, when Diego Lopes bounced back from a vacant featherweight title loss to Alexander Volkanovski by bouncing his elbow off Jean Silva’s skull. The spinning shot put the favored Brazilian on the canvas, and Lopes took him out a few seconds later.

And while recency bias certainly is a thing in MMA, the finish – rightfully so – had “Fight of the Year” talk happening among fans and pundits alike. That was the leader of the pack, but there were a half-dozen other finishes – and a nut shot to end all nut shots – in Texas.

Check out all the stoppages from Noche UFC in the video above.
